Vandough’s was created with the mission to provide the best plant-based bakes in NZ and a new and exciting experience for cookie lovers: Plant-based NYC-style cookies.

It all started in our home kitchen, after experimenting with tons of combinations, and countless recipes to make the best ever plant-based cookie and to make sure it tasted better and had all the best characteristics of it’s egg and butter-filled ‘classic’ counterparts.

We started selling these on our food truck at markets and fairs in 2018, then in 2019 at our Wellington Zelati Dessert Cafe accompanying our gelato to make our signature ‘BIG Cookie Sammies’. Our customers started buying our cookies on their own and asked for bigger packs, so they could take them to their friends - we realised we had something special!

Expanding our cookies had been on our hearts for a few years, but it was during early 2022, and amid the ever-changing environment in hospitality during the pandemic, we got baking and were able to dedicate more time to creating more flavours and recipes.

From this, our new and improved thick, NYC-style cookie range was born, with new flavours - and now we present to you, Vandoughs!

Our cookies are hand-made from scratch, in-house, using only the best ingredients including Callebaut chocolate and cocoa, and house-roasted nuts. We bake everything fresh-to-order. Our cookies are filled with love, and we’ve worked hard to bring you the best.

We wanted to be able to deliver home-made, hand-made cookies to our community and across the country, directly to you! Spreading the love, one cookie at a time.
